DYAL SINGH PUBLIC SCHOOL, MAIN BRANCH,KARNAL

The festival of Baisakhi was celebrated in Dyal Singh Public School on 12th April with gusto and religious fervour to acquaint students with cultural heritage of India. Tiny tots came dressed in colourful Punjabi attire and brought Punjabi food. Best out of waste competition was held on this occasion. The students of classes I and II participated along with their parents and prepared unique items. Significance of the festival was explained to the students in the class and a video related to Baisakhi was shown. Students enjoyed to dance on Punjabi songs and participated in activity with full enthusiam. They returned home with happy memories of the celebration with a more profound understanding of the tradition.
