In order to commemorate the occasion of Hand washing Day on Friday, Dyal Singh Public School , Dyal Singh Colony Karnal , conducted an awareness programme for the students.
The children were taught the importance of keeping their hands clean to fight infections and keep away from diseases.
It was discussed at length with children that they miss many school days due to common infections which arise because of unhealthy hand hygiene. The theme was "our hands, our future". The children were also educated about the fact that good hand washing can prevent disease outbreak, reduce absenteeism from school and improve health care outcomes. The children should wash their hands with liquid hand wash following 7 steps introduced to them by their teachers. Our Principal Mrs.Sushma Devgun and headmistress Ms. Priya appreciated all the teachers and the supporting staff for celebrating the occasion and for indoctrinating young impressionistic minds with the lasting lesson of life on how to ensure good health and hygiene.
Students participated with zeal.
