Workshop on Inclusion and Inclusive Strategies
A workshop was organized by CBSE on the topic Inclusion and Inclusive Strategies at GRD The Gurukul, Panipat on 12th & 13th May, 2018. Mrs. Harpreet Kaur CBSE appointed person talked the problems related to special children and how to bring them all in the main stream of children. Various activities were undertaken to make the teachers experience the feelings of being secluded by the rest of the group and how to overcome this problem.
She divided the teachers into four groups and various problems (diseases like ADHD, Mental Retardation, Learning disorder; impairment, Cerebral Palsy, Physical Disability, Autism) were given to the teachers and asked to prepare presentation. They defined the problem’s range, signs and symptoms and class room strategies.
On the second day two case studies were discussed and she enlightened the teachers about the strategies regarding learning disorder in the class room.
A lesson was also given to the four groups and teachers were asked to prepare lesson plans keeping representation, engagement, action and expression in mind.
It was an enriching experience for the teachers.
